About this webinar

Virtually all businesses collect and store personal information about customers and employees.  Unfortunately, the number of data breaches are on the rise – from theft, loss, or a mistaken release of private information.

Small and midsized businesses are especially at risk, as they often have fewer data security resources than large businesses.

Learn about the top 10 things a company can do to prevent a data breach. Join us for this one-hour CLE hosted by attorneys Trenton Gill and Brandon Abshier from Reminger Co., LPA, and insurance agent Adam Gwaltney from E-n-O Professional Insurance Solutions.

About the presenter(s)

Trent practices in Reminger Co., LPA’s Indianapolis office, and maintains a busy and diverse practice focusing on civil defense litigation. He represents physicians, dentists, chiropractors, and attorneys in professional liability claims matters. Having tried multiple jury trials, Trent has been responsible for civil cases from inception through conclusion, including appeals.

Trent counsels clients on a variety of legal issues including labor and employment, insurance coverage, contract creation and negotiation, worker’s compensation and risk management.

Brandon focuses his practice on civil litigation, workers’ compensation, and data breach/privacy matters.

As a litigator, Brandon enjoys problem solving complex cases. He has defended trucking companies and aircraft manufacturers in cases arising from catastrophic accidents involving multiple fatalities. He also has significant experience representing both residential and commercial builders from construction defect claims. He has assisted international companies facing major litigation in the United States and worked with publicly traded companies handling their commercial litigation needs.

Prior to joining Reminger, Brandon was the chair of the workers’ compensation practice group at another Columbus law firm. Brandon helps both private employers and state entities navigate the Ohio workers’ compensation system. He has represented clients in all types of workers’ compensation proceedings, from administrative hearings to appeals.

A Certified Information Privacy Professional/U.S. (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Brandon has received special training in the data breach and privacy fields. For clients whom have experienced a data security breach, Brandon provides counsel to ensure they minimize their exposure to litigation and regulatory actions.
