About the presentation

Everyone is tired of hearing about GenAI. And rightly so! Every day there’s a new “must try!” use case, and most existing products now have a GenAI component (whether it makes sense or not). But then when we take it for a spin, something feels off or like we have to work really hard to make it do what we want. So we stop, feeling as though we’ve been oversold on a future-present that is mostly still, well… not present.

Since late-2022, my full time job–across 3 different, leading legal AI companies and nearly twice as many roles–has been to learn about GenAI and help legal professionals figure out commonsense, responsible uses. I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned, and learning from you during this session.

The presenter is Ryan Groff, Lecturer, Attorney, CIPP/US
