It’s always fun to celebrate our nation’s independence. Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and fireworks. What’s not to love? On a more serious note, it’s amazing to consider that the fledging country founded by those 13 struggling colonies even survived, much less grew into the enormous, complicated and ever-evolving nation it is today.
