Here are bios for Reminger’s honored lawyers:
- Ronald Anthony Fresco (labor and employment law). After starting his career with the Ohio Industrial Commission, Ron has been serving Reminger’s diverse workers’ compensation and occupational injury clientele since 1995. In that time Ron has handled the various types of disputes involving occupational accidents and injuries. These experiences include administrative hearings, trials to verdict, appeals before the Ohio Courts of Appeal and the Ohio Supreme Court, and OSHA citations. In addition, Ron provides counsel to employers, third-party administrators and service providers concerning their risk management programs and their relationship with Ohio’s Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. These issues include coverage and classification disputes, self-insurance acquisition and compliance, and provider certification.
- Paulette Marie Ivan (insurance law). Paulette practices in Reminger’s Columbus office, where she is a leader in the Workers’ Compensation practice group. She represents and advises employers in all aspects of their workers’ compensation and risk management programs, including individual claim processing, policy coverage issues and violations of specific safety requirements. Paulette provides representation and counsel on employment related matters involving intentional torts, retaliatory claims and Family Medical Leave Act. Her practice includes representing employers in administrative hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and the adjudicating bodies of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, as well as extensive trial and appellate experience, representing employers at all levels of the Ohio court system.
- Zachary Benjamin Pyers (litigation). Zachary is a partner in Reminger’s Columbus office and actively practices throughout Ohio and West Virginia. His practice focuses on civil litigation, including complex litigation, corporate and commercial litigation, professional liability, and general liability. Zach regularly litigates complex commercial, professional liability, tort, and class action matters.  He represents clients in commercial disputes, including breach of contract claims; anti-trust actions; covenants not to compete; and, business torts. In his professional liability practice, Zach represents attorneys; accountants; architects; engineers; surveyors; builders; real estate agents, insurance agents; directors and officers; and, investment advisors in litigation and licensure proceedings.
- Matthew Lawrence Schrader (professional liability). Matthew is a shareholder in Reminger’s Columbus office and also serves as the firm’s Co-Chair of General Casualty/Excess and Surplus Lines Practice Group. He has litigated and tried cases involving professional liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, directors and officers liability, wrongful death, products liability and copyright infringement. Matthew has tried cases in both state and federal courts throughout Ohio. He has also argued and briefed appeals in Ohio’s appellate courts and the Fourth and Sixth Circuits.
